Toril Trousers **PDF** Pattern

The Toril trousers is a straightforward pattern with a fun twist. You can make them with the hem flounce or without. They were created for Tauko Magazine Issue no. 4 and is inspired by the traditional Norwegian folk costume my grandmother used to wear. 
 
The trousers have an invisible zipin the side seam and elastic in the waist to make them fit a wide variety of body shapes while also adjusting to your body through its changes over time. The waist is finished with premade (or handmade) bias tape in a simple and clever way.
 
Style
 
An easy to wear silhouette with with a fun detail for when you want to feel playful or channel your inner ABBA queen. Sew it without the flounce ang you get a comfortable pair of trousers with endless possibilities depending on your choice of fabric. 
 
Experience level
 
This pattern is suitable for intermediate sewists or confident beginners who want to challenge their existing sewing skills.
 
Fabric choice
 
The trousers can be made in all sorts of light to medium weight fabric such as cotton, light linen and viscose. I wouldn't sew them in a fabric that is too stiff. The pink trousers in the photos are made from a cotton babycord and the blue trousers are a lightweight linen. 
 
Sizes
 
The pattern comes in measurements: 
 
Waist: 62 - 130 cm (24.4 in - 51.2 in) 
Full hip: 86 - 154 (33.9 in - 60.6 in)
